Maria reckons this is because you have to sacrifice to the Laundry Gods. Well we made our sacrifice today. We woke up to about 5 inches of snow, we were only on the edge of the storm, and the roads were cleared very rapidly. This is the view looking down from our balcony.<br \/>\n<img src='http:\/\/www.bearhugs.co.uk\/blog\/wp-myimages\/snow2.jpg' alt='Snow and the Hudson' \/><br \/>\nWhen John had gone to work Maria and I took the laundry down. Maria folded the clothes straight from the drier and you&#8217;ve guessed it, one of Johns socks was missing. We both looked in the washing machine and the drier but no sign. Oh well he&#8217;s brought lots more pairs.<br \/>\nThe rest of the day I spent just lazing around watching telly (it&#8217;s hard work just flicking through the channels, there&#8217;s so many) while Maria worked on a bear and chatted to Claire and Robert on the phone.<br \/>\nHopefully toworrow we&#8217;ll go out somewhere.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you find that whenever you do the laundry you lose at least one sock.
