A quiet day today. We’ve had a weather warning with the possibility of a white out. Snow forcast from lunch time through to tomorrow morning, with up to 12 inches and strong winds.
John had to go to work but Maria an I decided to hang around the apartment. We had to do a quick tidy ‘cos with John having been around all weekend things were getting messy, then we were going to do the laundry, only to discover no washing powder, so we had to put that off until tomorrow.
Instead Maria decided she’d better do some bear making, that is what she’s supposed to be doing, plus she has had emails enquiring about 3 bears so they would need replacing.
She’s been working on making some small bears in the style of some of her big bears, apparently you can’t just reduce a pattern on a photocopier and expect it to turn out well. I’m learning all sorts of new things. She also had a go with her spray can replacement for her airbrush. Not very happy so she’s ordered a Copic airbrush system on the web, should be here in a few days.
In the meantime I think the two bears she’s made look rather good, they’re only 6 and 8 inches tall so Maria’s particularly pleased with the open mouth.
We don’t know what their names are going to be yet, we thought some appropriate names would be things like Manhattan, Ellis, Liberty, Tribeca, SoHo etc.
John ordered a guitar on the internet before we came over, so he could keep up with his playing. It arrived today so we now have music. Hope the neighbours don’t complain.
Snow is falling steadily, it should be nice and white by morning.
I think the white bear looks like it might be called Madison. Will they get together for snowball fights with you?
